These are programs with schools directly affiliated with us, but which are separate institutions. These schools can also provide advanced studies in various areas.
California College of Ayurveda
Headed by Dr. Mark Halpern, offers a two year certification program of classroom instruction in Ayurveda based on Dr. Frawley's work. Graduates earn certification as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist (CAS). The CCA offers Extended Weekend and Full-time Weekday Programs in three California locations: Grass Valley, Oakland and Seal Beach (Orange County), now into its tenth year. Can give credit to graduates of our Ayurvedic Healing course.
Florida Vedic Institute Yoga Teacher Certification Course
Our home study program is one of the most comprehensive in the United States. More information and practice is involved than in most systems that involve study with a teacher. It introduces students to a variety of different philosophies that make up the vast system of Indian teachings. Compiled by Yogi Baba Prem Tom Beal, a Vedavisharada from the American Institute of Vedic Studies.
Florida Vedic Institute Sanskrit Course
Students can learn basic Sanskrit in the comfort of their home. This program will teach the basics so that students can pronounce mantras properly, as well as simple grammar rules that will deepen every students skill and knowledge level. Compiled by Yogi Baba Prem Tom Beal, a Vedavisharda from the American Institute of Vedic Studies.
Dancing Shiva Yoga and Ayurveda Program
An in depth application of Dr. Frawley's advanced Yoga and Ayurveda course into a one year training. Students will learn to integrate the science of Tri-dosha into the Raja Yoga system. A masterful teaching staff provides the authenticity the Yoga and Ayurveda traditions demand. The program strongly emphasizes a practical experience of learning. Students gain certification as a Yoga and Ayurveda therapist. Applications are available for download on the Dancing Shiva website.
Institute of Wholistic Education
The Institute received its initial direction and inspiration from the work of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. In carrying out its mission, the Institute recognizes that people need to take responsibility for their own lives and actions and to this end, it has focused on educating interested individuals in the fields of Ayurveda, Reiki and alternative health and wellness practices, including yoga.
